Getting it running

Windows

  1. 01

    Download the portable .exe

One file, no installer and no admin rights needed.

  2. 02

    Put it anywhere

A folder on your machine, a network share, or a USB stick — it runs from wherever it sits.

  3. 03

    Double-click to run

Settings and collections are written locally next to your user profile.

macOS

  1. 01

    Download the .dmg

    The standard macOS disk image.

  2. 02

    Drag Studio to Applications

The usual install gesture — nothing else to configure.

  3. 03

    Open it

On first launch macOS will ask you to confirm an app downloaded from the internet.

Linux

  1. 01

    Download the .AppImage

One portable binary, no package manager involved.

  2. 02

  3. 03

    Run it

Double-click, or execute it directly from the shell.

Read the full FAQ →
Do I need an account to use Studio?
No. Download it, open it, send a request. An account is only needed if you want optional cloud sync across machines.
Is there a request limit on the free version?
No. There is no cap on requests, collections, environments or mock servers. The free app is the whole app.
How do updates work?
Studio checks for updates and tells you when a new version is out. Download and install it when you're ready — nothing updates behind your back.
Does anything leave my machine?
Not unless you turn on cloud sync. Requests, responses, collections and environment variables are stored locally by default.

Coming from another client? Studio imports your collections.
